Avid Symphony Nitris is a high end, professional level SD and HD video finishing suite. It is sold as a complete turnkey solution, meaning that it must be purchased as an integrated hardware/software solution, which means it vastly outperforms any software only package. The user interface for Avid Symphony Nitris will be familiar to anyone who has used an Avid product before. It is extremely flexible and very efficient to use once you have mastered all the keyboard shortcuts and general layout of the application. Often complex functions can be carried out simply by dragging and dropping which speeds up the finishing process. To speed things up even further Avid include their ScriptSync technology which can automatically match up footage to a given script by analyzing the dialogue.
